  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

That's because today was the day the carbon price, which was introduced by the previous Labor govt two years ago, was finally repealed by the hard right conservative Coalition govt. Aus is now left with no carbon abatement policies whatsoever.

Aus thus becomes the FIRST country to repeal an existing carbon abatement measure.

The Coalition was elected in Sept 2013, but the Senate that reflected those results was not sworn in until 1 July. All 8 of the cross benches sided with the Coalition, who won the final Senate vote 39 to 33, with Labor and the Greens opposed.

You southerners do what you want. Up here in the states I'll keep burning my trash in a open pit that includes plastics and even automotive paint and used oil.
Hope it heads down your way.

mags with your ideas of what is being a good moderator i now see why people are complaining about the mods on this site
    first things first
as a moderator you are not supposed to be a bitch
moderators are supposed to be neutral
they resolve arguments not start them
but making the soil clean is important because what it grows absorbs the crap that assholes dump into it
if they dump arsenic into the soil that your food is grown on your food will contain arsenic
its simple you are what your food eats
your food its what its food eats

never once have i ever bucked the mods but for you in this situation i will say that you have crossed a line that should get you barred from that post for all eternity
your position has been compromised by your insulance and with that you have sullied the post for all
you have done more damage to the post in 1 post than most can do in years
you have proven pussy patrol correct

as sad as that is for once the idiot is right about the mods

As a moderator l can be as much as a bitch i want to be, there's no rule in the moderator charter that specifies we have to be neutral or nice.

If our government or any world government really cared about the soil they would ban the growing of cotton and it's umpteen chemicals that it needs to grow it and replace it with industrial hemp that can not only have multiple crops each year but also regenerates the soil back to a healthy state.

Also I doubt you know anything about Oz's present government.....our Prime Minister Tony Abbott has been a climate change denier for all his political career...... In his own words.. "The science about climate change is crap".

So this new policy he has come up with is only a vote catcher that he'll never follow through with.

Tony Abbott's idea of caring for the environment........ "make the ground healthy, plants trees then cut them down and turn them into paper, then after he's cut the trees down he'd then grow cotton and poison the ground all over again"...:rolleyes:

Your use of the pejorative phrase "climate change denier" makes any argument you might have totally irrelevant.

It's the same as using the phrase "Environmental case" or "tree hugger".

Try "climate change skeptic" next time.

The individual person throughout the world is not responsible for the bad environment, the big corporations that buy off government officials and have laws changed so they can destroy the environment without punishment are the ones responsible for the global pollution that has ruined the planet.

In 10 years marijuana will replace most of the paper products being made from wood here in the good ole USA. It can replace many things made from cotton as well.

A lot of people don't know it, but the US government paid farmers here in the Midwest to grow it during WWII for this very reason. The US military used quite a bit of it back then....:p

Perhaps you should consider growing some pot....

Carbon taxes don't resolve the problem anyway. The simple truth is the big polluters didn't reduce their emissions, and at the end of the day that's the only thing that matters. Squeezing the profits of these companies has no positive effect on the environment. It's just another wealth redistribution tax.

    That's not entirely true DD....

In Australia the majority of electricity comes from coal fired power stations

    *not_secure_link*www.theaustralian....559632995?nk=948873fd638bcd88bdf7775043461270

Emissions drop signals fall in carbon tax take
    THE AUSTRALIAN JANUARY 23, 2013 12:00AM

CARBON emissions from the electricity sector have dived in the first six months under the carbon tax, with much greater use of renewable energy and cutbacks in consumption.

While the government believes the 8.6 per cent fall in carbon emissions shows its policies are working, it also means it will collect less from the tax than the $4 billion it anticipated this year.

The drop in revenue comes after the minerals resource rent tax, forecast to raise $2bn this year, failed to raise any revenue from the big three miners in the first six months of the year.

Total emissions from the electricity sector in the December half were 7.5 million tonnes lower than in the same half of 2011.

    ----------------------------------

It was one of the very few taxes that these conglomerate companies would have to pay. If it's a backhanded way of making them pay a proper tax rate then so be it in my book. I think everyone knows that the larger companies duck and dive every which to avoid paying their fare share of tax, while the average joes get nailed in the pocket every year.

I would suggest a swap, but our Mad Monk as Pres of the US would be horrible for the world at large, not just Aus.

You can't be sceptical about proven facts; you can only be in denial about them.
